Eastbourne School members just back from the 2003 Kuk Sool Won UK Tournament held at Norwich Sports Village. Several members win bronze, silver and gold medals. Jo Kyo Nim Robin Holmes becomes overall UK 1st Degree Black Belt Grand Champion, as well as being promoted to 2nd Degree Black Belt. |

Visit to Korea proves to be a great success for the Kuk Sool Won of Eastbourne School. Two students namely, Jo Kyo Nim Diana Hewitt and Jo Kyo Nim Robin Holmes each win World Championship Gold and Silver medals. Also, Eastbourne School Principal Instructor, Master Philip D Holmes, honoured with promotion to 6th Degree Black Belt. |

October 26th & 27th: The World Kuk Sool Assoc Championships and Masters Display in Kyeong Ju, South Korea. Four, Ist Degree Black Belts namely: Scott Hill, Diana Hewitt, Gary Pearson and Robin Holmes will accompany Master Philip D Holmes to Korea for this very special event. |

October 6th / 7th, 13 students, together with Instructors and parents from the Kuk Sool Won of Eastbourne, travel to Houston, Texas, USA, to participate in the 2001 World Kuk Sool Championships. The trip was a tremendous success, with 26 gold, silver, bronze and copper medals being won. |

Kuk Sool Won of Eastbourne's website awarded the prestigious International Association of Web Masters and Designers Golden Web Award for design and content.
In October 2001, Master Philip was inducted into the COMBAT (magazine) Hall of Fame. This prestigious honour was awarded to Master Philip in recognition of this commitment and devotion to the development of Martial Arts in the United Kingdom and around the world. |
